Ryan J. Speelman is the associate principal director for Enterprise Technologies within the Enterprise Ground Division at The Aerospace Corporation. In this role, he is responsible for the integration of resilient computing technologies and prototypes within the space systems command and control portfolio.
Previously, Speelman was the principal director for the Cybersecurity and Advanced Platforms Subdivision (CAPS), where he was primarily focused on the resiliency of ground and space-based systems. The CAPS is involved in many layers of space resiliency from legacy system security to requirements and program development to advanced research and development techniques.
Prior to joining the CAPS, Speelman spent more than a decade in wireless communications, where he worked on programs focusing on digital signal processing algorithms and radio frequency-based electronic warfare. He also worked as a communications payload systems engineer on a restricted program at Northrop Grumman.
Speelman has published several papers on signal processing techniques and cybersecurity.
Education
Speelman holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in electrical engineering, with a concentration in embedded systems, from UCLA.
