In this lesson plan, middle school students become time-travel recruits exploring Robert H. Goddard’s rocketry breakthroughs. Rotating through stations, they examine his notebooks, fuel innovations, public skepticism, and lasting legacy. The adventure culminates as they design and “patent” mini rockets using engineering principles, sparking STEM curiosity and sharpening critical thinking skills.
