DiskSat Rocket Lab patch
Watch DiskSat launch live tonight
December 17, 2025

Update: DiskSat has launched successfully! Watch for more updates soon.

DiskSat, the latest (and flattest) demonstration mission from Aerospace's spacecraft design innovators, is about to launch — and you can watch it happen live tonight, if you don't mind staying up late.

The mission will launch aboard a Rocket Lab Electron today, Dec. 18, at approximately midnight Eastern time, or Dec. 17 9 p.m. Pacific. This time of year weather is especially unpredictable, so this may change at any time!

Check out this video for a refresher on DiskSat:

Rocket Lab's live stream of the launch will start 20 minutes before the T-0, so just before midnight local time. You can watch it below or at this link. Be sure to tune in for extra context and the excitement that always accompanies the launch of a new satellite.
