To improve the agility and resiliency of space systems, Aerospace developed a concept called “Hive” that uses a disaggregation architecture of small, smart satellites with the ability to reconfigure themselves to perform various functions once reserved for larger satellites. These satellites are mass-producible, interlockable, and can be easily replaced.
