Professional Development

To keep you on the right career path and propel you forward in your career, ongoing education, training, and development are provided for all employees, regardless of whether you are new to the workplace, mid-career, or a seasoned professional.

The Aerospace Corporation provides employees with a wide variety of continuing education opportunities to help you grow professionally, from industry conferences and work-related courses, to technical and management classes.

Education, Training, and Development

In addition to tuition reimbursement for approved work-related courses, Aerospace offers internal resources such as technical, management, and professional development classes to ensure you have the resources needed for continuing education in your field.

Many of Aerospace’s professional development courses and resources are offered through Aerospace University (AU). Established in 1994, AU provides staff development and skills training to enhance your professional excellence and productivity, as well as accommodate individual career and organizational goals.

We also offer workshops and lunchtime seminars on a variety of topics, including leadership, personal development, financial planning, and technical seminars.

Since Aerospace qualifies as a not-for-profit organization that is tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3), employees can also apply, for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. If you qualify, the remaining balance due on direct student loans may be reduced or possibly forgiven.

Aerospace Rotation Program

The Aerospace Rotation Program provides employees the opportunity to broaden their perspective and knowledge of company and customer operations by accepting temporary assignments across major organizations. The ARP encourages an inter-organizational flow of knowledge, deepens the technical staff’s understanding of our customer base, supports workforce development and personal career broadening, and develops technical, leadership, and business skills. Employees apply for an assignment for up to 12 months for a temporary position in another organization with the understanding that, upon completion of the assignment, they may return to their originating organization and position level.

All Aerospace employees working in organizations with technical responsibilities are required to apply for and maintain at least a Secret clearance.  U.S. citizenship is required for those positions.
