Prior to joining Aerospace in 2016, Bauer managed several Department of Defense programs focusing on research, development, and production for sonar and flight control systems on the U.S. Navy Acoustic-Rapid Commercial Off-the-Shelf Insertion (A-RCI) program on VIRGINIA/LOS ANGELES class submarines, and the fly-by-wire flight control system on the United State Air Force B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber. Bauer’s work experience includes program management roles at General Dynamics, Moog Inc., and being a principal owner in a small business startup defense contracting company. For several years, Bauer had his own consulting practice, providing new business and program operations support to small business entities primarily supporting the U.S. Navy.
