Aerospace Selects National Security Space Executive Blake Bullock as Next EVP

Former Northrop Grumman Executive to Oversee Aerospace’s Technical Organizations

Chantilly, Va., Jan. 7, 2026The Aerospace Corporation (Aerospace), a leader in advancing national space capabilities, has selected space executive Blake Bullock as its executive vice president. In this role, Bullock will lead Aerospace’s technical organizations, guiding Aerospace as it works to solve the hardest technical problems and deliver on national priorities. She will start on Feb. 2.

“Blake brings extensive experience working across national security, civil and international space, and a demonstrated track record delivering systems of national importance,” said Tanya Pemberton, Aerospace president and CEO. “Her deep knowledge of our customers and their missions will accelerate Aerospace’s efforts to bring differentiated technical solutions to the hardest problems facing our nation in space.”

As executive vice president, Bullock will lead a team of more than 3,700 engineers and scientists, comprising Aerospace’s customer-facing organizations, engineering backplane, technology investment, and research and laboratory capabilities. 

Bullock most recently was vice president at Northrop Grumman leading military and missile defense space businesses. There, she was at the forefront of shaping next-generation architectures critical to our nation’s continued security and leadership in space—including satellite communications, overhead sensing, missile warning and missile defense, proliferated systems, and laser communications technology development. She has also been involved in flagship science missions including NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope, the Chandra X-Ray Observatory, and the LCROSS robotic lunar spacecraft.

At Northrop Grumman, Bullock served in positions of increasing responsibility involving systems engineering, strategic planning, business development and management, including as vice president of Communication Systems and vice president of National Security Systems. Her early career experiences include NASA Headquarters, Goddard Space Flight Center, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Strategic and Space Programs.

Bullock holds a bachelor’s degree in astrophysics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s degree in astronomy from Wesleyan University.
