Aerospace Board Chairman Mike Donley steps down to reenter federal service; O’Sullivan becomes acting chairman

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., April 28, 2021 – The Honorable Michael B. Donley will step down as chairman of The Aerospace Corporation Board of Trustees on April 30 to reenter federal service. Vice Chairman Stephanie L. O’Sullivan will become acting board chairman on May 1 and the selection process for a permanent chair and vice chair will begin immediately.

Former Secretary of the Air Force Donley served as vice chairman of the board from December 2015 to December 2017, when he was elected chairman. He first joined the board in September 2013 and was scheduled to retire as chairman in December 2021. He has 40 years of Washington, D.C. experience in the national security community, including service in the Senate, White House, and Pentagon. Donley served as the 22nd Secretary of the Air Force from June 2008 to June 2013.

O’Sullivan was elected to the BOT in June 2017. She was elected vice chairman in December 2019. She has served the Intelligence Community throughout her career, most recently as principal deputy director of National Intelligence in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).
