Whether it’s through their caring donations or generous volunteer hours, Aerospace employees are always looking to help great causes. To help facilitate the process and provide them with opportunities to get involved, the Aerospace Cares program uses a simple, unified platform via which employees can volunteer their time for mentoring and other activities and donate to vetted charities. Initiatives throughout the year have included volunteer blood drives and the donation of personal protective equipment to aid in the fight against COVID-19.
The Aerospace Cares platform also provides a convenient way for Aerospace employees to donate to great organizations like the American Red Cross, No Kid Hungry, and the International Medical Corps. Aerospace Cares also works to organize collected efforts to keep our people engaged.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Aerospace Cares launched the Giving Tuesday initiative to acknowledge and thank health care workers, first responders, teachers, mail carriers, and other essential workers within our community.
In observance of Earth Day, Aerospace Cares created an Earth Day pledge to encourage individuals and families to limit the use of single-use plastics, while also providing an opportunity for employees to collect data to track changes in their community environment in support of Earth system science research. Aerospace Cares also facilitated employee donations to the Ocean Cleanup North Pacific Foundation and the Plastic Oceans Foundation.
In celebration of Women’s Week, Aerospace Cares facilitated employee donating to Feeding America, the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Rock the Vote and the National Museum of African American History and Culture.
Aerospace’s culture of giving is well-established and dynamic, and employees are encouraged to explore all opportunities to give back to their communities, in furtherance of a brighter, sustainable and equitable future.
