The Aerospace Corporation will join the space community at the 2026 ASCEND conference May 19-21 in Washington, D.C. ASCEND is powered by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). Throughout the conference, Aerospace experts will lead discussions on topics ranging from space nuclear power solutions to operating in very low Earth orbit (vLEO) and the emergence of cislunar infrastructure and economies.

Additionally, Aerospace will host the inaugural ASCEND Space Transformation Track on Thursday, May 21. This action-oriented slate of programming will drill down on key problems standing in the way of going faster, aligning investments with national priorities, and establishing innovation ecosystems to help the nation produce capabilities to scale.

Accelerating the Space Industrial Base

Aerospace plays a critical role leveraging commercial capabilities for government needs and expanding/accelerating the pace of technology insertion across the space industrial base.
The image captures a nighttime rocket launch. The scene features a long-exposure photograph that shows the bright, curved trail of the rocket as it ascends into the dark sky. The trail starts from the brightly lit launch pad on the horizon near the left side of the image and arcs gracefully across the sky, fading towards the right. The sky is mostly clear, with a few scattered clouds and faint stars visible. In the foreground, there is a grassy area leading to a body of water that reflects the light.

Accelerating Space Launch with Agile Launch Manifesting

Agile launch manifesting reflects a broad change in how space missions are conceived, validated and delivered, enabling mission planners to identify, prioritize and integrate payloads quickly and across various providers and platforms. Aerospace plays a central role in advancing agile launch manifesting by delivering systems integration, independent analysis and deep technical expertise.
