The Phenomenology Imager and Nighttime Observer (PIANO) is a camera that will be installed on the International Space Station and take excellent nighttime imagery using atmospheric light known as airglow. PIANO builds upon the success of Aerospace’s Near Infra-Red Airglow Camera (NIRAC), by increasing the performance of NIRAC’s low-light imagery with new operational modes, near continuous imagery, and multiple images of the same scene.

The Low-Latitude Ionosphere/Thermosphere Enhancements in Density (LLITED) mission will launch two CubeSats to help understand phenomena that could have a negative impact on navigation, communication, and over-the-horizon radar systems.

The durable, heat-controlled beacon, designed and built by Aerospace, can be mounted to a trailer that allows for mobile deployment wherever it’s needed to calibrate and validate space assets.

Aerospace is leading the way to unlocking this information with the Daily Atmospheric Ionospheric Limb Imager (DAILI), which will study molecular oxygen density of Earth’s upper atmosphere.
DAILI’s sunshield is perhaps the most sophisticated ever flown on a CubeSat.
