The ADVC Collaboration Conference Room brings users into the digital environments activated in the Operations Demonstration Center, projecting renderings and visualizations onto large 4K/UHD display screens, including a 90-inch NEC screen and an 86-inch Planar Touch screen display.
The A/V architecture provides fully configurable Any Display Anywhere (ADAW) capability via Extron splitters and switches. Displays can be driven from multiple sources (up to 4) that currently include a Blu-Ray player and a Hewlett Packard Z840 Intel Xeon E5-2600v3 16 Core Processor Workstation with 1TB HDD storage, 32GB Memory, and an NVIDIA M4000 (8GB) graphics card.
Additional connections are available for laptops and other input source types via HDMI 2.0b and Display Port connections as required.

This output from the Aerospace Debris Environment Projection Tool (ADEPT) demonstrates the historical evolution of the orbital debris environment in Earth orbit from the dawn of the Space Age through a future projection for the year 2100.
ADEPT is a tool suite for performing orbital debris environment evolution modeling to assess current and future effects on space operations. It uses Orbit Trace Crossing to generate potential collisions; an Aerospace-developed tool, IMPACT, to model breakups from collisions and explosions; MEANPROP to propagate debris with a semi-analytic propagation theory; and a “Schrodinger’s Cat” process to model many future realities simultaneously.

The Debris Analysis Response Tool (DART) conducts debris analysis and assessment in a digital engineering environment to discover the risks, physics, and consequences of key U.S. space operations resulting from on-orbit collisions. DART enhances the ability to predict, assess, and respond to collisions in space by better understanding their short- and long-term impacts, enabling safer operations for the U.S. and our allies. This DART animation visualizes how the debris fields generated by the Iridium-Cosmos collision in 2009 endangered neighboring satellites.

Welcome to the Aerospace Demonstration and Visualization Center (ADVC). This 780-square-foot unclassified laboratory in Crystal City, Virginia, features innovative capabilities driving transformation in space traffic coordination, artificial intelligence and machine learning, debris modeling, and other advances in digital engineering for the modern space enterprise.
With space becoming more diverse, congested, and contested, The Aerospace Corporation is executing an integrated approach to support U.S. leadership in space traffic management and coordination, contributing unparalleled technical knowledge to support the space enterprise as needs change from near-earth orbit to low-earth orbit to cislunar space. Aerospace engineers are world-class experts in conjunction analysis, collision assessments, and debris mitigation, operating at the bleeding edge of space traffic research and innovation.
The ADVC’s high-performance computing environment (HPCE) allows users to understand the evolving space domain with greater need and agility. Using the ADVC, Aerospace’s customers can deploy and test digital architectures and tools with the same scalability and complexity in a matter of days or weeks that it might take months or years to develop from scratch, at a fraction of the cost.
Explore the ADVC on your own or jump to a particular room from the menu.
