In this exciting time, The Aerospace Corporation (Aerospace) and its Center for Space Policy and Strategy (CSPS) are publishing Space Agenda 2025 to provide objective insight into the opportunities and challenges ahead for the space sector.
“As the pace of change across the space domain continues to accelerate, Space Agenda 2025 offers forward-looking perspectives on the topics that will affect how our nation and its allies approach leadership and competition in space,” said Steve Isakowitz, president and CEO of Aerospace.
Ahead of the 2024 presidential election, Space Agenda 2025 includes 16 chapters addressing policy issues at the forefront of national security, civil space, and commercial space, including:
- The rise of proliferated DOD space systems and their implications for the industrial base and supply chains
- The role of space assets in a contested geopolitical environment, including lessons learned from the war in Ukraine and for increased operations in a warming Arctic
- Regulatory challenges and strategic actions for leveraging commercial space capabilities in an era of great power competition
- Space sustainability impacts in a contested space environment
- Increased interest in Lunar and cislunar activities
