AI systems are already changing how countless software tools and datasets operate, and space is no exception. But it also brings unique challenges in terms of security, logistics, and cost. How is AI being applied to this complex, high-consequence domain?

The Aerospace Startup Showcase at TechCrunch Disrupt is all about matching technological innovation around AI and machine learning with real, urgent problems faced by the space enterprise. There is record interest in bottom-up innovation and commercial capabilities for solving the hardest problems in space: exploration, orbital intelligence, and infrastructure. Aerospace aims to highlight startups ready to change the game in the space domain and connect them with customers who are equally ready to embrace that change.

At the showcase, five startups will present to a panel of judges representing venture capital, commercial space, and government customers. What innovation is their company bringing? How will it succeed in the markets they're targeting? And why is their team the one best suited to build it?

All five startups will receive passes to Disrupt, tables for all three days, and join us for an exclusive VIP dinner. The winner will also be awarded a services package including tech readiness review, consultation, and co-authoring and co-branding opportunities.

The event will take place on the Space Stage at Disrupt on Monday, October 27.

Update: Thank you to all the startups who applied! Applications are now closed.
